I received my bachelors from the University of Granada and Ph.D. from the National University of Ireland. I was the E. E. Just Postdoctoral Fellow at Dartmouth College and I am currently an Assistant Professor of Medicineat the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
I have been recipient of numerous awards and honors including the National Science Foundation CAREER Award or the Scialog Fellowship on Mitigating Zoonotic Threats. I recently became one of the Burroughs Wellcome Fund Investigators in the Pathogenesis of Infectious Disease.
